Fiona Criddle

Fiona Criddle, MHC-LP

Fiona is an integrative therapist who enjoys working with children, teens, and young adults ages 4–21. She is continually inspired by the resilience, creativity, and compassion that young people bring to their lives and relationships.

She has experience supporting clients with concerns including anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, emotional and behavioral regulation challenges, adjustment difficulties, grief, developmental trauma, peer conflict, social skill development, and self-image. Fiona is committed to providing affirming care for members of the LGBTQIA+ community and enjoys helping both youth and families navigate identity development and self-concept.

Fiona draws from a range of evidence-based and developmentally appropriate approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), narrative therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, child-centered and directive play therapy, and expressive arts interventions. She practices through a trauma- informed lens and is attentive to how early experiences shape development across the lifespan.

She is trained in the Research Units in Behavioral Intervention (RUBI) program and works closely with parents to develop practical, proactive strategies for managing challenging behaviors and building new skills at home and in the community. Fiona also collaborates with school teams—including counselors, teachers, and administrators—to create consistent, supportive plans across environments.

Fiona earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting with a minor in Psychology from SUNY Brooklyn College and her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from SUNY Brockport. She brings a warm sense of humor, a steady and grounded presence, and a strong ability to build meaningful, trusting relationships with the young people she works with. She looks forward to partnering with you and your family on your path toward growth and healing.
