
Alexis Auld-Szalay, LMHC
Alexis is a compassionate and dedicated therapist committed to helping individuals navigate
life’s challenges and build meaningful, fulfilling lives. She specializes in working with clients
experiencing autism spectrum and related disorders, anxiety, depression, stress, relationship
concerns, anger management, spirituality, and life transitions.
Alexis takes an eclectic, client-centered approach that emphasizes collaboration and
individualized care. Her work is grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive
Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Functional Behavioral
Assessment (FBA), and trauma-informed care, including Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT).
Alexis believes that each person’s story is unique and strives to create a safe, supportive, and
judgment-free environment where clients feel heard and understood. She works collaboratively
with clients to identify patterns, develop effective coping strategies, and strengthen resilience and
self-awareness. Alexis is committed to inclusive care and has experience supporting diverse
populations, including individuals within the LGBTQIA+ community and those navigating
substance use concerns.
Her goal is to empower clients of all ages to develop the tools needed to overcome challenges,
enhance emotional well-being, and achieve lasting personal growth. Alexis is passionate about
meeting clients where they are and supporting meaningful, sustainable change.
Alexis earned her Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Sociology from the State University of
New York at Brockport in 2012. She went on to complete her Master’s degree in Mental Health
Counseling at SUNY Brockport in 2020. In 2025, Alexis obtained her licensure as a Mental
Health Counselor in New York State and is also recognized as a Nationally Certified Counselor.
Rates and Insurance
Alexis’s private pay rate for individual therapy is $110 per hour. Alexis’s rate for couples
and family therapy is $120. Alexis is currently an out of network provider with all
insurance companies. She can provide a superbill for out of network reimbursement.
